NORTH BEND, WA — Washington State Patrol detectives are looking for more witnesses to come forward after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 90 near North Bend last week. In a news release Tuesday, WSP said 911 callers reported a person sitting on the road near milepost 34 around 9 p.m. on Dec. 28.

The person was later hit and died from their injuries at the scene, officials said. The emergency response blocked eastbound lanes for several hours.

Detectives are asking anyone that drove through the area at the time or who thinks they may have hit something in the road that night to reach out via e-mail.
